HJ: So today we’re with Kim Sunwoo, singer, rapper, producer, and all-around nuisance.
SW: Fuck you.
HJ: (laughs) I’m kidding, I'm kidding.
SW: You are way too happy today.
HJ: My boyfriend is on my show, why wouldn’t I be happy?
SW: You’re disgusting. I hope everyone listening to this knows how disgusting you are.
HJ: (laughs) So, anyway! Sunwoo, why don’t you tell our listeners a little bit more about yourself?
SW: Well, I'm Kim Sunwoo, 21 years old, and uh… I like music, football…
HJ: And me.
SW: Fuck you.
HJ: (laughs)
SW: And I’m also part of a group called NAMED LATE. You can check us out on Instagram and SoundCloud, namedlate! No spaces or underscores or anything.
HJ: There we go. Now, as of recording this episode, you’ve only recently released your new song, ‘orange’. This is your second song, right? Do you have any other songs in the works at the moment and will you stick to titling them as fruit names? Are you one day going to write a song called ‘fruit salad’?
SW: (laughs) Right, yeah, I actually have a few songs in the works, which you already know…
HJ: Boyfriend privileges.
SW: And maybe I’ll stick to the fruit titles, maybe I'll write a song called fruit salad and make it about you.
HJ: Wow.
SW: Stay away from Virgo men, everyone.
HJ: Oh my god. This is my show!
SW: (laughs loud)
HJ: No, come on, okay, (laughs) seriously. Can you tell us more about ‘orange’? What was the inspiration behind it?
SW: ‘orange’ is a continuation of ‘berry’, actually. I worked on ‘orange’ a lot quicker than ‘berry’, because ‘berry’ was in the works for like, two years, and I kind of just wanted to document the process of falling in love, in a way. The whole fruit-as-a-love-language thing. Going from the excitement and giddiness of a crush to the whole, um, mellow… domestic…? Kind of thing.
SW: (pauses) This is so embarrassing.
HJ: No, keep going, it feeds my ego.
SW: Don’t date a Virgo, guys.
HJ: You’re so mean to me!
SW: I hope Kevin hyung doesn’t edit this out. How are you, Kevin hyung?
